Treatwell, Europe’s largest hair and beauty booking marketplace, faced a scalability problem as its business and data sources grew: maintaining a time-consuming, in-house ETL to pull from APIs (notably Salesforce) into Redshift distracted its five-person data platform team from data modeling and enabling business users. Treatwell chose Fivetran to replace the custom ETL, using Fivetran for pipeline and transformations alongside Amazon Redshift and Looker.

With Fivetran managing integrations, Treatwell’s team refocused on data modeling, governance and engineering best practices while enabling about 50% of the business to self-serve in Looker. Fivetran’s automated pipelines also helped automate month-end financial processes—integrating Stripe and other sources—saving the finance team an estimated three working days each month and allowing teams to deliver more value-added analysis.
