Scalable Data Stack Helps Welcome Tech Empower Immigrants

Welcome Technologies, a platform dedicated to connecting the global immigrant community with essential services, faced a growing data challenge: disparate databases, slow manual ETL processes, and a Postgres connector that consumed significant engineering resources. To scale its data architecture and support machine learning and security models, Welcome Technologies turned to Fivetran for managed data pipelines and connectors into their Redshift data warehouse.

Fivetran consolidated sources (Postgres RDS, Google Analytics, Zendesk, Branch.io and uploads) into a single Redshift-backed data lake, cutting historical sync time from days/nights to a few hours and reducing pipeline maintenance from a full-time-quarter effort to roughly 1–2 hours per week. By using Fivetran, Welcome Technologies lowered engineering overhead, eliminated archived reprocessing, and freed the team to focus on building recommendations, fraud and risk models to better serve immigrants.
