Padnos, a 100-year-old industrial recycling business with 20+ locations in Michigan, faced severe BI performance issues from running Tableau against an on‑prem production SQL Server and had only two developers to manage data needs as they moved to Salesforce. To avoid impacting mission‑critical systems and scale their analytics, Padnos selected Fivetran to migrate and replicate on‑prem data into a separate SQL Server destination and modernize their data pipeline.

Using Fivetran connectors (Salesforce Sandbox, SFTP, SQL Server), Uploads, and Transformations, Padnos automated data replication and now fires stored‑procedure transformations on data updates (they’ve implemented 16 transformations so far), avoiding the need for roughly 1.5 additional engineers. The result: reports that once took days now take hours, real‑time Tableau dashboards for trucks‑in‑yard, inventory and cost tracking, faster operational decisions, reduced costs and a better customer experience—all enabled by Fivetran.
