ALM Media, a B2B information and events company, was shifting from print to digital but lacked standardized analytics: key reports were static PDFs compiled monthly, BI headcount fell by 50%, and executives couldn’t get timely answers. After evaluating the modern data stack, ALM chose Fivetran to automate data ingestion (including connectors like Sailthru) alongside Snowflake and Tableau to speed access to cross-platform data.

Using Fivetran’s managed pipelines to replicate sources into Snowflake and visualize in Tableau, ALM cut report production from two weeks to two days, eliminated long ETL projects, and enabled rapid analysis of newsletter engagement (newsletters drive over a third of traffic) via the Sailthru connector.
