Case Study: Kuda grows revenue and data visibility with Fivetran

A Fivetran Case Study

Preview of the Kuda Case Study

Kuda credits Fivetran and data visibility for growing bank’s revenue

Kuda, a fast-growing digital bank in Nigeria, needed to become more data-driven as customer volume surged. Its five-person data team was manually building pipelines, relying on SSRS and transactional databases spread across 12 Azure SQL instances, which made it difficult to join data, scale analytics, and avoid impacting operational performance. Fivetran was chosen as part of a modern data stack alongside Google BigQuery, dbt, and Looker.

With Fivetran handling ELT into BigQuery, Kuda automated data movement and reduced the burden of pipeline management, effectively replacing work that would have required at least five internal data engineers. The bank gained better visibility into customer acquisition, products, service monitoring, and account activity, enabling daily executive dashboards and more informed credit decisions. Fivetran also helped Kuda improve operational reliability, support regulatory reporting, and grow revenue through better data-driven decision-making.
