DataCamp, the online data science education platform, faced siloed data across multiple SaaS sources (ads, subscriptions, CRM, support) and wanted to avoid the time and maintenance of building pipelines in-house. To solve this, DataCamp ran a two-week proof of concept with Fivetran, deploying Fivetran connectors to pull data into a Postgres RDS warehouse so its data scientists and engineers could focus on analytics instead of ingestion.

Fivetran’s automated connectors now sync sources, detect API changes, and surface issues, freeing the team to build mission‑critical dashboards. With centralized data in Postgres RDS via Fivetran, DataCamp produced actionable analyses—showing higher lifetime value for annual and US subscribers, training an ideal-customer-profile model used by sales, and demonstrating that extending Facebook attribution windows materially improved customer-acquisition margins.
