A Fivetran Case Study
Condé Nast, the global media company behind Vogue, GQ, The New Yorker, Vanity Fair, Wired, Architectural Digest, and Bon Appétit, needed a scalable way to manage the massive volume of data generated across its digital and social channels. When its data engineering team joined in 2020, there was no central mechanism for integrating data sources, and building custom connectors for each marketing platform was time-consuming, costly, and hard to maintain. Condé Nast turned to Fivetran’s data integration platform to automate this process.
Fivetran now automatically ingests data from more than 20 sources into Condé Nast’s Databricks Delta Lake, where it is organized for analysis in tools like Qlik Sense and Mode Analytics. This eliminated the need to build and monitor custom connector scripts, saving over a week of engineering effort per connector, while enabling faster, more reliable access to data. With Fivetran, Condé Nast has built a 360-degree view of its audiences, improved targeting and personalization, and turned trillions of data points into revenue-driving insights.
