Case Study: Van Lanschot achieves a flexible, future-proof client platform with Five Degrees Matrix

A Five Degrees Case Study

Preview of the Van Lanschot Case Study

How Van Lanschot took its banking systems digital with a flexible, future-proof platform on which the bank can build and expand

Van Lanschot, a Dutch wealth manager, needed to simplify a complex application landscape left over from its history as a universal bank. To improve the client experience, cut costs, and create a flexible, future-proof foundation, the bank selected Five Degrees’ Matrix platform to replace legacy systems such as Siebel and support a better front end.

Five Degrees implemented Matrix in phases, starting with a rollout across all branches and integrating it with Van Lanschot’s product systems and ESB to create a single point of client data entry. The result was less manual reconciliation, better visibility into client data and communications, and a stronger workflow and document management capability to support client onboarding; the bank also adopted an agile delivery model with new Matrix releases every three weeks.
