A Five Degrees Case Study
Knab, the Dutch start-up bank, needed a scalable way to support fully digital customer onboarding, strong customer relationship management, and a clean three-layer banking architecture from day one. To help achieve that, it worked with Five Degrees and its Matrix mid-office system, which was intended to handle CRM, BPM, and document management in one platform.
Five Degrees implemented Matrix as the core mid-office layer, integrating it with Knab’s back-end and portal while providing full workflow support and an audit trail. The result was a highly automated, low-overhead operating model: Knab now serves about 125,000 customers with a headcount of around 120, and continues to use Five Degrees’ Matrix as it expands into a platform model offering third-party products.
