Transitions Optical, a pioneer in photochromic lens technology for more than 30 years, wanted a better way to recruit new wearers and help consumers understand and experience its dynamic lens colors and photochromic activation beyond the limitations of in-store demos. To deliver a more engaging, realistic, and seamless experience, Transitions Optical partnered with FittingBox and its augmented reality virtual try-on solution.

FittingBox implemented a customized Virtual Try-On focused on accurately showing Transitions’ full range of lens colors and activation states, as well as how the glasses fit on the user’s face. The solution went live in a little over two months and drove measurable results: visitors who used the VTO were almost twice as likely to search for an ECP on the store locator, increasing engagement and traffic to Transitions’ stockists.
