InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), one of the world’s largest hotel companies, needed a way to give local hotel teams relevant, property-specific marketing materials without losing brand consistency, legal compliance, or visibility into performance. General Managers and Directors of Sales often lacked the time or expertise to run campaigns, and some created their own materials when corporate collateral was too generic. IHG turned to FISION to support a distributed marketing approach.
FISION implemented a localized marketing platform that let IHG’s locations customize approved materials with property-specific imagery and messaging while staying within brand and compliance guidelines. The system centralized more than 1,400 assets, controlled access by user role and location, and provided campaign analytics for every asset. As a result, IHG saw a boost in net-new business, stronger regional relationships, clearer proof of campaign effectiveness, and company-wide insights that helped establish best practices.
