The Mississippi State Department of Health faced new federal emergency‑preparedness mandates after Hurricane Katrina and needed to replace an inadequate inventory system to receive, store and rapidly distribute Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) medical supplies across the state. To meet requirements for mobile operations, FIFO expiration tracking, custom reporting and reduced asset loss, MSDH selected Fishbowl Inventory’s Fishbowl Warehouse standalone solution.

Fishbowl Inventory implemented Fishbowl Warehouse to establish real‑time inventory control and kit creation for the 2009 H1N1 response, enabling rapid distribution to 374 institutions.
