Successful Production Migration from On-Premise Solution to the Cloud

Linn‑Benton Community College, a community college serving roughly 5,990 FTE, needed a modern identity governance and administration solution because it lacked the time, resources, and expertise to manage its on‑premise IAM system; manual provisioning of new student applicants could take up to two weeks. The college worked with Fischer Identity, transitioning from an on‑premise Fischer Identity deployment to Fischer's Identity as a Service® and leveraging Single Sign‑On, Password Governance, and Provisioning capabilities.

Fischer Identity migrated LBCC to its cloud IaaS in June 2020, loading about 150,000 users into the cloud and enabling SSO and password management while preparing provisioning to Active Directory and Google Apps. As a result, Fischer Identity reduced provisioning time from as much as two weeks to under 15 minutes, enabled real‑time student enrollment to handle last‑minute signups, and delivered a faster, improved user experience.
