FGCU Continues to Expand IAM Program in the Cloud with Fischer through Successful Implementation of Identity Claim & Password Governance

Florida Gulf Coast University engaged Fischer Identity to expand its cloud-based IAM program and tackle the challenge of managing identities across multiple Active Directory accounts and sources of authority. FGCU needed Identity Claim and Password Governance in addition to existing Provisioning/De-Provisioning to support both employee and student lifecycles while integrating SOAs such as Workday, Oracle and Banner and enabling SSO via their IdP (QuickLaunch).

Fischer Identity implemented Identity Claim and Password Management (in an IaaS deployment) for employees and students, added a Student AD source of authority to classify student/graduate/alumni status, and delivered association/de-association workflows so one logical Identity can span multiple AD accounts. The rollout (08/21/2020–11/18/2020) successfully extended FGCU’s IAM capabilities in the cloud, unified identity handling across systems, and streamlined provisioning and password governance under Fischer Identity.
