A Fischer Identity Case Study
Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi needed to replace a homegrown identity management system that supported 143,000 identities but lacked documentation, automation, security controls, and efficient workflows. The university struggled with manual paper-based processes, slow change approvals, orphaned accounts, and rising operational costs. Fischer Identity was selected for its higher-education expertise and full suite of identity management products.
Fischer Identity implemented user lifecycle management and self-service capabilities, including automated provisioning and deprovisioning from sources of authority, self-service requests for accounts and identities, and automated identity deletion rules tied to Banner and Workday. The results included streamlined identity claiming, MFA enrollment, and profile updates; fewer service desk calls; improved SSO and federation; stronger audit and reporting; lower administrative overhead; and reduced risk through better automation and account control.
