Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) is a national construction trade association representing over 21,000 members across 69 chapters. Facing the need to modernize and mobilize its grassroots advocacy—making it easy for members to find their elected officials, get state-specific policy info, and quickly take action—ABC launched a dedicated mobile advocacy app in 2013 to boost engagement and personalize outreach.
ABC powered its ABC Action app with FiscalNote’s VoterVoice, using API-driven member profiles to match users to their legislators, surface contact info and voting records, and deliver push notifications and pre-populated messages for one- or two-click advocacy. The app now drives roughly a third of federal campaign actions, converts attention into immediate action, and has delivered strong campaign results—most notably the PRO Act effort, which produced more than double typical engagement, 56% new advocates, and outreach to 484 lawmakers.
