How EY Leveraged its ESG Thought Leadership Position by Partnering with Oxford Analytica

Ernst & Young (EY), a global professional services firm with operations in more than 150 countries, faced the urgent challenge of helping clients and stakeholders navigate rapidly evolving ESG and sustainability reporting standards. With harmonization of reporting requirements emerging as a major shift in corporate disclosure, EY needed authoritative analysis and practical guidance to inform clients, engage regulators, and demonstrate the business implications of policy change.

EY partnered with Oxford Analytica to produce a 32‑page report, “The Future of Sustainability Reporting Standards,” combining EY’s subject‑matter expertise with Oxford Analytica’s global analyst network, interviews, and workshops. Published in 12 weeks and supported by a widely attended webinar, the report was translated into multiple languages, highlighted at the World Economic Forum, helped facilitate regulator and policy conversations, and delivered measurable internal and client-facing value.
