Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Optimizes Processes, Frees Valuable Resources

NBH Bank, which operates more than 80 banking centers across multiple states, engaged FIS to tackle repetitive manual work in its lending and deposit functions using FIS PREBOTs as part of its Integrated Banking Solution (IBS) efforts. The bank’s objective was to optimize processes, eliminate errors, and deploy six bots within a 20-week business case to free staff for higher-impact tasks.

FIS implemented six PREBOTs after detailed discovery sessions and delivered an IBS robotics solution with a monitoring dashboard and human-in-the-loop capabilities. All six bots were operational within the target timeframe; they executed about 8,000 transactions in the first month and soon ramped to 13,000, exceeding expectations, freeing staff for strategic work, and prompting NBH Bank to approve a second phase targeting 20–25 additional automation opportunities.
