Case Study: Major Global Investment Bank cuts terminal costs and boosts secure, real-time collaboration with FIS MarketMap Terminal (with Symphony)

A FIS Case Study

Preview of the Major Global Investment Bank Case Study

Major global bank replaces high-end terminals with new, flexible market data and messaging solution from FIS and Symphony

Major Global Investment Bank, a large, multinational wealth manager, faced rising costs and communication disconnects from a mixed fleet of high-end market data terminals — despite having used FIS’ MarketMap Terminal for more than a decade. With only a fraction of terminal functionality actually used and external chat capabilities uneven across the estate, the bank sought a more efficient, compliant way to deliver real‑time market data and secure messaging without sacrificing user functionality.

FIS, working with Symphony for messaging, replaced legacy, expensive terminals with flexible MarketMap Terminal deployments integrated with Symphony’s secure chat, document and screen‑sharing, auditability and open APIs, and validated the approach through a pilot program at the bank’s global headquarters. The pilot delivered strong user satisfaction, improved collaboration and compliance capabilities, and positioned FIS’ MarketMap solution to replace additional legacy terminals across the global footprint to lower maintenance costs and streamline operations.
