Home City Federal Savings Bank, a Springfield, Ohio institution, suspected its market was aging but lacked hard data. After attending the FIS Connect Conference, the bank engaged FIS (working with IBS Consulting) to perform a Branch Profile Analysis using Nielsen’s P$YCLE® segmentation to validate market trends and better understand customer segments.

FIS’s Branch Profile Analysis delivered detailed market composition and demographic metrics (households, median age and income, homeowners, households with children, etc.), confirming the shift toward an older population and identifying millennials as an opportunity. As a result of the FIS analysis, Home City launched its first TV campaign promoting Mobile Banking to local millennials and now has a data-driven foundation for product planning and deposit-growth strategies.
