Heritage Bank, a community bank in Jonesboro, Ga., needed a more flexible, digitally capable core to support rapid regional growth and compete with larger banks while managing compliance. To build a “sustainable community bank” that could expand delivery channels and accelerate growth, Heritage Bank selected the FIS HORIZON core processor from vendor FIS.

FIS implemented the HORIZON core and enabled a seamless, fully integrated customer experience with improved security, new delivery channels (including Teller Live! virtual tellers) and extended business hours. The conversion supported two 2019 mergers to form Heritage Southeast Bancorporation and helped grow assets from $500 million to approximately $1.3 billion, while expanding commercial, consumer, investment and insurance offerings — demonstrating measurable competitive and scale gains delivered by FIS.
