A FIS Case Study
First Horizon Bank, a regional lender with 300 branches and $40+ billion in assets, wanted to deepen customer relationships by overhauling its rewards program to reward the total value of a customer relationship rather than individual transactions. To achieve that goal, First Horizon engaged FIS and selected FIS’ AI 360 solution to design a relationship-based rewards program.
FIS implemented AI 360’s configurable rules engine to reward customers across account types, balances and product engagement, launching the program with First Horizon’s consumer checking suite (went live November 2019 after about a yearlong selection and rollout). The FIS solution produced measurable gains — increased checking product growth, higher average customer balances and deeper customer relationships — and First Horizon plans to extend AI 360’s use beyond the initial product set.
