CB&S Bank, a community bank headquartered in Russellville, Alabama with 56 branches and more than $2 billion in assets, needed to increase usage and drive interchange income across its debit and credit card portfolio by activating new cards, re-engaging inactive cardholders, and boosting activity on low-usage cards. To address this challenge, CB&S Bank engaged FIS and began using FIS PaymentsEdge marketing and advisory services in May 2018.

FIS delivered a turnkey PaymentsEdge solution that analyzed the card portfolio, identified target segments, and executed creative, mail file pulls, campaign execution and tracking without requiring extra marketing resources from the bank. Since going live three months after contracting, CB&S has run nine campaigns, increased transactions per card and revenue among low users and inactive cardholders, and achieved a 326.35% average return on investment since 2019, driving measurable incremental interchange income.
