A FIS Case Study
Bremer Bank, a regional bank with nearly 2,000 employees and over $8 billion in assets, launched Project Blueprint to transform operations across its nine separately chartered banks and support ambitious growth goals. Facing a complex, highly customized technology environment and the need for new processes and greater employee collaboration, Bremer Bank engaged FIS (FIS Consulting and Conversion Services) to help design the change and prepare for a conversion to the FIS Integrated Banking Services (IBS) platform.
FIS began with a Discovery engagement using its Helix methodology and worked with cross‑functional Process Teams to redesign workflows and align them to the IBS platform. The FIS-led effort identified $2.9–$4.0 million in annual financial benefits, cut deposit origination time from 45 to 20 minutes, reduced third‑party vendors by 35%, and shifted 60% of service management work to the front line, positioning Bremer Bank for a smoother IBS conversion and faster time‑to‑market for new services.
