Sage, a UK-based global software company serving 3 million customers with ~13,000 employees across 23 countries, wanted to mobilize its workforce to create authentic, positive word-of-mouth, increase product awareness, and showcase its employer brand. The challenge was finding a single, flexible platform that would keep employees informed about global company news and make it easy and safe for them to share that information externally.
Sage launched Sage Voices, powered by Firstup, a targeted, moderated content hub that personalizes news by role, division and location, encourages employee-contributed content, and includes training on personal branding. After one year the program saw 60% adoption, 28,000 employee posts, 305,000 shares, more than 263,000 clicks, 95,000 reactions and ~305 million potential impressions, driving thousands of new visitors to Sage.com while boosting employee pride and cross‑country connection.
