Fortune 500 Company Uses Dynamic Signal To Keep Workforce Informed Safe During Hurricane

A Fortune 500 transportation and supply chain company with 35,000 employees and headquarters in Miami needed a faster, more reliable way to reach its widely dispersed workforce. Until 2017 the organization relied on printed newsletters, but Hurricane Irma created an urgent communications challenge: the company had to deliver real-time, measurable updates to employees and drivers—many in remote areas and facing power outages—to protect safety and maintain critical operations.

The company used the Dynamic Signal platform as its central communications system, shifting platform management to Atlanta and sending broadcast push notifications to mobile devices throughout the storm. As a result, 20% of truck drivers rerouted around danger zones, employees received timely updates about office closures, supplies and work arrangements, and volunteers were mobilized for relief efforts. The initiative kept employees and families safe, preserved essential deliveries and strengthened employee trust in the company.
