Zest EV Charging secures £30 million investment with Firedog

Zest EV Charging, a UK-based public electric vehicle charging network, needed a brand identity that would appeal to both environmentally conscious consumers and commercial site owners. Their challenge was to strike a balance between a fun, positive image and a serious, formal business proposition. They appointed the creative agency Firedog to develop their branding and strategy.

Firedog created a bright and cheerful brand identity centered on a hummingbird emblem, chosen as a metaphor for natural energy, agility, and efficiency. The solution included a full visual identity system with a unique angular graphic device, a vibrant colour palette, and comprehensive brand guidelines. This new branding helped Zest EV Charging secure an initial £30 million investment from Zouk Capital, supported by the UK Government’s Charging Infrastructure Investment Fund, to roll out its charging points across the UK. Firedog continues to work with the business on brand development.
