OmniPanel, an e-commerce insights provider for B2B and B2C companies, needed a data layer that could keep up with growing customer data and increasingly complex analytics. As their platform scaled, they found their existing Postgres-based stack could not support the performance and low-overhead deployment they needed. Firebolt helped OmniPanel move to a faster analytical setup, achieving 15x better performance than Postgres with average query times under 500 milliseconds. OmniPanel also simplified its data model from 21 normalized tables to 3 denormalized tables, which improved query efficiency and enabled Firebolt aggregating indexes. With guidance from the Firebolt team, OmniPanel built the product it envisioned and gained a scalable, sub-second analytics foundation.
