Tapps Games increases crash free user rate and improves ratings with Crashlytics and Remote Config

Tapps Games, a Brazilian mobile game developer with 11M+ monthly active users and 400+ games, needed a safer way to roll out new customization features in Vlogger Go Viral without hurting the stability of its core video creation system. Before using Firebase, the team relied on manually scanning reviews and negative feedback to spot problems, which meant issues were found late and had already affected many users.

Firebase helped Tapps Games by enabling Crashlytics crash alerts and velocity alerts to quickly detect and diagnose crashes, and Remote Config to disable the buggy screen while fixes were prepared. Using Firebase, the team raised its crash-free user rate from 94.6% to 99.8%, recovered up to 5% of affected player videos, and improved the Play Store rating from 3.9 to 4.7.
