A Firebase Case Study
Tapple, the Japanese developer behind a popular dating app, wanted to increase the lifetime value of its 5 million users by improving subscription sign-ups. To do that, Tapple turned to Firebase to test different versions of the message prompt shown to male users without a subscription, since they can’t read incoming messages until they subscribe.
Using Firebase Remote Config, Firebase A/B Testing, and Firebase Crashlytics, Tapple was able to update prompts dynamically, identify the best-performing design, and monitor app stability during testing. Firebase showed that Design A outperformed the others, and after rolling it out, Tapple achieved an 8% increase in subscription registrations.
