Rave is a social media app for watching videos, listening to music, and hanging out with friends in perfect sync across devices, including Android, iOS and VR. The team needed a platform-agnostic, secure and easy-to-use authentication system that would work across VR, web, iOS and Android without having to manage token security or expirations themselves.

Rave implemented Firebase Authentication, which integrated seamlessly across client and server platforms and provided built-in security for credentials and data transmission. The team reported painless server- and client-side setup, with client implementation in one to two days and server setup in about an hour, enabling fast deployment of a reliable, cross-platform login and onboarding flow on Android and iOS.
