NPR gains valuable insights into user behavior with Google Analytics for Firebase

NPR used Firebase to help improve the NPR One app, which was designed to attract new audiences and deliver a better listening experience. The team needed deeper insight into how users listened across devices and how they navigated content, so they could better understand engagement, retention, and what features mattered most.

Firebase, specifically Google Analytics for Firebase, BigQuery, and Remote Config, gave NPR a unified way to combine app behavior data with backend listening data, run A/B tests, and support user acquisition campaigns. As a result, NPR gained better visibility into listening context and increased user engagement by surfacing content more aligned with listener interests and behaviors.
