A Fiorano Software Case Study
World Second Largest Bank, one of the world’s largest banking institutions with headquarters in London and operations across 82 countries, needed to modernize an IT environment that had grown complex over time. The bank faced challenges around transport-vendor dependency, black-box legacy applications, inconsistent development practices, and the need for a more flexible, event-driven architecture. To address these issues, it evaluated and selected Fiorano Software and its Fiorano SOA Platform.
Fiorano Software implemented an Event Driven Business Component (EDBC) architecture using Fiorano Studio, FioranoMQ, and integration bridges for systems such as Tibco RV and IBM MQSeries. The solution enabled phased componentization, reusable business services, dynamic deployment, improved manageability, and seamless integration with existing applications. In the bond trading use case, the new architecture routed requests by ISIN to the correct trading center while supporting real-time pricing and messaging with less coding and greater reuse, helping the bank achieve a more agile and scalable integration platform.
