United Breweries Limited faced growing complexity across its distributed IT landscape, with SAP and other systems spread across many locations and manual handoffs slowing procurement, invoicing, approvals, and reporting. The company needed a unified, flexible application infrastructure to integrate legacy systems and automate business workflows, and it selected Fiorano Software and its SOA Platform/ESB after a detailed evaluation.

Fiorano Software implemented a real-time SOA-based integration solution using the Fiorano ESB, orchestration tools, and SAP adapters to automate processes such as GRN handling, invoicing, back flush reporting, mobile approvals, supplier integration, and tax-related workflow changes. The results included cutting invoice creation from 12 minutes to 2 minutes, saving more than 1,600 man-hours per month, helping UB save over US$500,000 in year one and over Rs 2.5 crores, while improving scalability, reducing manual intervention, and enabling faster decision-making across the enterprise.
