Case Study: Norwegian Cruise Line achieves lower reservation costs and faster partner integration with Fiorano ESB

A Fiorano Software Case Study

Preview of the Norwegian Cruise Line Case Study

Norwegian Cruise Line sails along with a hyper-efficient Reservation System Interface

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) wanted to standardize its reservation system interface to make integration with travel partners, especially travel agent consortiums, faster, easier, and less expensive. After finding that traditional point-to-point integrations required long, custom projects, NCL turned to Fiorano Software and its Fiorano ESB platform to build an OTA-compliant, reusable connectivity approach.

Fiorano Software implemented Fiorano ESB to connect NCL’s core reservation application and Oracle database with partners such as Amadeus through a standardized API and XML/Java-based integration layer. The solution cut implementation time from months to just a few months for the initial rollout, enabled new partner integrations, and reduced average reservation costs by more than 300% per booking, while positioning NCL to extend the platform to other systems.
