I&M Bank Fast Tracks Digital Roadmap with Fiorano

I&M Bank, one of Kenya’s top 10 banks, needed a more agile integration approach to support its “Imara” digital strategy and growing customer demands. Its complex IT landscape included Finacle core banking, multiple channels, and many point-to-point connections, which made integrations costly, slow to change, and difficult to monitor. To address this, I&M Bank selected Fiorano Software and its Fiorano ESB platform to simplify and modernize its enterprise integration environment.

Fiorano Software implemented Fiorano ESB to connect Finacle with third-party systems and channels such as mobile banking, agency banking, ATM, KITS, KRA, SMS alerts, and IPRS. The rollout was delivered in phases, with the first alternate banking channels phase completed in four months using just one bank resource, and later integrations handled independently by I&M’s IT team. The result was faster service launches, reduced dependency on external vendors, improved issue tracking and resolution, and significantly lower development and integration costs thanks to Fiorano’s codeless, low-TCO platform.
