FioranoMQ provides messaging infrastructure for a leading US Billion dollar Hedge Fund

A large US-based hedge fund needed to rewrite its electronic trading platform and real-time profit and loss system to support highly available, fault-tolerant messaging, while also improving throughput, manageability, and configuration flexibility. The company evaluated Fiorano Software’s FioranoMQ as a candidate for the new messaging infrastructure after earlier considering MSMQ and Sonic MQ.

Fiorano Software implemented FioranoMQ to power the fund’s trading and P&L environment with high availability, multiple configuration options, and an easy-to-use management console. The result was a major performance improvement: the hedge fund reported handling up to 700 messages per second in a highly available environment with FioranoMQ, compared with about 200 messages per second with Sonic MQ, while also gaining easier deployment, real-time extensibility, and responsive support from Fiorano Software.
