Exelis, a leader in C4ISR products and systems, needed an Airline Operations and Fleet Management System that could deliver real-time flight tracking, situational awareness, and rapid access to aircraft surveillance and weather data for safer, more efficient operations. To meet these requirements, Exelis turned to Fiorano Software and its Fiorano ESB / SOA platform.

Using Fiorano Software, Exelis built the Symphony® OpsVue™ Airport, Airline Operations and Fleet Management Suite, integrating multiple surveillance sources, flight status feeds, weather services, and operational data into a single real-time view. The solution publishes aggregated data to JMS queues and an Oracle database, supports 2D/3D replay and collaborative decision-making, and now serves more than 65 customers, including major airports such as JFK, LAX, and LaGuardia, improving airport operations and situational awareness across the board.
