Elektrobit, a Finland-based developer of embedded software and hardware for the automotive and wireless industries, needed a centralized integration layer to connect legacy applications, new SaaS services, and internal finance and HR tools. To support a flexible “mesh” of applications across its Windows Server and Linux environment, Elektrobit chose Fiorano Software and its Fiorano ESB platform for web service-capable integration.

Fiorano Software implemented an ESB solution with message transformation, content filtering, XML/web service support, and reusable integration components. The platform helped Elektrobit speed time to production, make live changes without disrupting services, reuse integrations across multiple flows, and reduce training and resource needs; the company noted that one experienced developer now manages more than 40 live application integration processes.
