Case Study: JNET enhances real-time public safety notifications with Fiorano Software

A Fiorano Software Case Study

Preview of the JNET Case Study

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania enhances public safety with Fiorano

JNET, the Pennsylvania Justice Network for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, needed a secure, standards-based messaging infrastructure to connect state, county, local, and federal justice agencies in real time. Its challenge was to share offender records and trigger immediate notifications for events such as arrests, escapes, warrants, and parole status changes across distributed systems on different platforms. Fiorano Software, using FioranoMQ, was selected to support this multi-agency information exchange.

Fiorano Software implemented a publish/subscribe messaging solution that let agencies publish events and subscribe to the alerts relevant to them, with encrypted transmission, authentication, configurable delivery rules, and support for email, fax, pager, and web notifications. The result was a real-time justice information network with improved response times, reduced operational costs, and stronger reliability and security, including failover protection and no dropped messages.
