Amels Holland plots 14,000 user journeys with Fiora

The customer, Amels Holland, a leading global shipyard for luxury yachts, faced the challenge of creating a universal control system for its global clientele that integrated all onboard services without relying on written language. The vendor, Fiora, was tasked with developing a highly adaptable UX and UI design for this audio and visual control system in collaboration with technology provider Harris Grant.

Fiora implemented a solution centered on intuitive iconography, meticulously plotting over 14,000 user journeys and generating more than 3,000 tested icons to replace text-based commands. The result was a seamless, language-free interface that allowed users to control everything from entertainment to environmental settings. The project was a major success, earning Fiora industry recognition including the Crestron Award for user-interface design.
