AppsFlyer - Customer Case Study

AppsFlyer, a global leader in mobile measurement and data analytics, was struggling with cloud cost visibility at massive scale across AWS and GCP. With 400+ engineers, shared Kubernetes clusters, and complex multi-cloud dependencies, cloud spend was largely managed by a small analyst team using internal BI tools, creating a “gatekeeper” bottleneck and making it hard to see who owned what costs. AppsFlyer used Finout to address this challenge.

Finout implemented granular allocation for shared infrastructure, virtual tagging, predictive budgeting, and unit economics tied to business metrics so engineers could monitor and own their cloud spend directly. The results included a 14% shift of total cloud spend from unmonitored to actively managed, a 31% increase in teams tracking their own spend, a 160% rise in adoption for one major spending team, and a 41% month-over-month increase in platform usage.
