Oconee State Bank partnered with FINBOA to modernize its Reg E dispute handling as COVID-19 disrupted branch operations and pushed staff into remote work. Before the change, the bank relied on spreadsheets, paper forms, word processors, and repeated data rekeying, creating compliance, staffing, and audit challenges amid rising fraud disputes.
FINBOA implemented its cloud-hosted Reg-E Process Automation Solution, automating workflows for Debit Card, ACH, ATM, and Stop Payment disputes and adding an interest calculator for claims. The bank went live quickly and moved to an end-to-end digital process that eliminated paper, improved communication, and cut the time to file consumer disputes by over 80%, while also making compliance management and customer updates much easier.
