ZB Financial Holdings Grows Market Share by Over 20% with New Digital Services

ZB Financial Holdings, one of Zimbabwe’s largest diversified financial groups, faced a market shift to mobile and electronic payments (96% of payments in 2017) and needed to replace paper‑based processes with a mobile‑first, frictionless digital experience. To meet this challenge the bank partnered with Finastra, adopting Fusion Equation 4.3 and Fusion Digital Channels to modernize its core and customer touchpoints.

Working with Finastra, ZB Financial Holdings completed the core upgrade on time and within budget and launched new mobile and internet banking (including the ZB Mobile Banking app) while going largely paperless. The Finastra solutions helped drive a 25% increase in digital customers (from ~150,000 to just over 205,000), more than a 20% gain in market share and a 36% rise in annual profits, demonstrating clear commercial impact.
