Silvergate boosts STP and cuts payment costs with Finastra

Silvergate, a bank, partnered with Finastra to modernize its payments infrastructure. The bank needed to achieve significant cost savings, improve straight-through processing (STP), and gain the technological flexibility required to support innovative services for its clients.

Finastra implemented its cloud-native Fusion Global PAYplus solution, hosted on Microsoft Azure. This move allowed Silvergate to future-proof its payment operations, scale quickly to handle volume increases, and add new functionality like enabling clients to initiate wires via API. As a result, Silvergate realized its goals of major cost savings and improved STP, which contributed to it winning Celent’s Model Bank 2020 Award for Payments Replatforming.
