A Finastra Case Study
MN, a Dutch pension administrator managing nearly 2 million people, 34,000 employers and about €110 billion in assets, faced a business-critical payments challenge: hundreds of thousands of domestic and international pension payments each month, a looming SEPA deadline, and the need for greater continuity, control and scalability. To modernize payments, improve auditability and handle rising volumes, MN selected Finastra and its SWIFT service bureau connectivity and corporate payment hub as the foundation of its payments transformation.
Finastra implemented SWIFT connectivity and a payments hub, supplying middleware and working jointly with MN’s IT team through an in‑house implementation and subsequent managed IT service. The result: SEPA compliance achieved a year early, all back‑office systems connected, stable operations with no downtime, improved payment and operational efficiency, better auditability/traceability and clearer cash‑flow visibility—delivering the scalability and control MN required.
