Ecobank, the largest pan‑African bank operating across dozens of countries, needed a unified, flexible cash management and payments platform that could handle high transaction volumes while accommodating varied local practices. To meet this challenge it partnered with Finastra and adopted Fusion Cash Management to create a single, consolidated solution for corporate clients across its network.
Working with Finastra, Ecobank built Ecobank Omni on Fusion Cash Management and rolled it out to 34 countries in three years. The Finastra-powered solution automated straight-through processing for over 20% of manual transfers, helped Ecobank onboard an average of 4,000 new customers per year, drove consistent customer growth of more than 25% year‑on‑year, delivered 100% growth in cash management and payments over four years, and supported an 86% rise in transaction volumes (USD 21 billion in the 2017–2018 period).
