Salix Finance, a not-for-profit loan and grant provider that has funded over 14,400 projects worth £460 million—saving the public sector £1.7 billion and reducing CO2 by over 600,000 tonnes per year—needed more robust financial reporting and transaction drill-down than their legacy Sage system could provide. To meet demanding stakeholder and government reporting requirements Salix selected SunSystems, implemented with support from FinanSys.

FinanSys delivered SunSystems alongside FinanSys Cloud hosting, providing multi-dimensional analysis, SunSystems Credit Control and integration with Salix’s client self-service portal so users can build fund-, region-, project- and applicant-level reports without consultancy. The solution improved collections forecasting and reporting efficiency, includes cloud hosting with a 4-hour recovery SLA, and is backed by responsive FinanSys support that resolves about 90% of issues on first contact, materially strengthening Salix’s financial operations.
