ICEF GmbH, a Bonn-based education services company that connects educators and student recruitment agents worldwide, struggled with dispersed operations, a largely remote workforce, and no central financial system. Reporting was slow and manual, sales managers spent most of their time updating data, finance handled 20–30 daily invoice queries, invoices took ~15 minutes each, and revenue reporting lagged 2–3 months. To solve this, ICEF implemented FinancialForce, primarily FinancialForce Accounting (with FinancialForce Billing and Salesforce CRM integration).
FinancialForce consolidated customer and financial data into a single account record and provided 360° visibility across teams, automating invoicing and real-time revenue reporting. As a result—per the ICEF case—revenue grew 100% in four years without adding headcount, debtor days fell from 120 to 60, invoices can be produced in one click with fewer errors, IT capital spend dropped, and external accounting fees were eliminated while maintaining two in-house accountants.
