Crunch, a Brighton-based online accounting and bookkeeping provider for freelancers, contractors and small businesses, was growing more than 50% a year and had outgrown its Sage systems—transactions jumped from about 8–9,000 to 80–90,000, reporting took 15–20 days, systems were disjointed and senior managers couldn’t access up-to-date financials remotely.
